USC continues recruiting surge, lands four-star cornerback Elbert Hill

USC football recruiting is a freight train.

For the third time in three days, USC has a new commit. On Friday, the Trojans added the latest addition to their top-ranked 2026 recruiting class: four-star cornerback Elbert Hill.

Hill comes to USC from Akron, Ohio. On3 Consensus ranks him as the No. 35 overall player and the No. 4 cornerback in the class of 2026. The Trojans continue to stack recruits, accumulating both quality and quantity in their 2026 class. The Trojans are delivering results in rapid-fire fashion on the trail. If you’re following along, you’re seeing a major breaking story on a USC recruiting win at least once a week and, in some cases, more frequently. The recruiting juggernaut unleashed by the arrival of general manager Chad Bowden has been something to behold. The Trojans have gotten their house in order so quickly and decisively that it’s hard to understand why the program drifted for so long before the Bowden reconstruction occurred.

USC football is getting back to where it needs to be. The next really big key is to produce a 2025 season which, at the very least, does not squander the momentum created by this recruiting tsunami.
