The career of cornerback Adoree’ Jackson will continue in 2025 but it will not be as a member of the New York Giants.
Rather, Jackson will join his former Giants teammate Saquon Barkley in the City of Brotherly Love as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles after agreeing to terms on a one-year deal.
Jackson, 29, was a first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in the 2017 NFL draft and spent the first four years of his career in Nashville before signing a free agent deal with the Giants in 2021.
It appeared the Giants and Jackson were poised to part ways following the 2023 season but they reunited in September of last year.
In 97 career games (82 starts), Jackson has recorded 404 tackles (330 solo, 10 for a loss), six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 61 passes defensed, four interceptions, and one defensive touchdown. He earned an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 69.0 in 2024.
With the Eagles, the veteran Jackson will help fill the void left by the release of fellow cornerback Darius Slay.
