Kia UK cements status as a ‘Great Place To Work’

Kia UK has again been officially accredited as a Great Place To Work organisation.

Certification is a significant achievement, backed by validated and anonymous feedback from Kia UK employees that was independently collected and assessed by Great Place to Work.

Great Place To Work utilises its rigorous, data-driven For All methodology, which confirmed that 91% of employees believe Kia UK is a great place to work and 82% consistently enjoy a positive experience at the company.

Gemma Benbow, head of people & organisation at Kia UK, said: “We are so proud to be Great Place To Work Certified for the second consecutive year, with improved scores versus last year in every category and 55 out of 60 of the questions.

“There’s no such thing as bad feedback – as any feedback can be used to positively improve the company and make it a better place for all staff. We are constantly evolving, learning and adapting to new challenges, which helps make Kia an employer of choice. For example, earlier this year we implemented a new carers policy to better assist employees who care for a loved one.

“We have worked hard to foster a truly inviting work environment where everyone has a voice, can be heard and importantly feel part of a team, so it’s fantastic to receive this feedback from employees and recognition from an independent and established body.”

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place To Work UK, said: “We know that prioritising the employee experience leads to building trust among employees, fostering a remarkable workplace culture, and ultimately achieving exceptional business outcomes. Congratulations!”

In March 2024, Kia UK was named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in the large company category. The accolade was awarded in response to real feedback from Kia staff on areas such as working atmosphere, trust in management, corporate strategy, pride in working for the company, benefits, facilities, and sense of security.

Kia UK was first named a Great Place To Work-Certified organisation in May 2023 and in July of the same year the company was named in the 2023 Best Workplaces for Women list.

In the same month, a further 12 Kia subsidiaries across Europe attained the Great Place To Work-Certified honour, highlighting excellent staff satisfaction across Europe.
