Kelee Ringo is a confident player, and ahead of a training camp competition with Adoree Jackson, the Eagles CB switched to jersey No. 7.
A jersey number says a lot about a player, and ahead of a huge training camp competition, Kelee Ringo just put the NFL on notice. The Eagles’ third-year cornerback will battle Adoree Jackson, Eli Ricks, and others for the spot opposite Quinyon Mitchell that Darius Slay vacated.
Ahead of Philadelphia’s rookie minicamp, it was revealed that rookie cornerback Mac McWilliams was assigned the number 22. That number was available because Ringo will wear the No. 7, last worn by Kenny Pickett (Browns) in 2024 and Haason Reddick before him.
Ringo enters a pivotal year in his career, but he has all the assets you’d want in an elite cornerback. He is 6-foot-2 and 207 pounds, and he has length, physicality, and speed. Ringo has allowed just a 46.3 passer rating as the primary defender in coverage over the last two seasons (170 snaps).
