Early schedule news: The Green Bay Packers will go to Chicago to play the Bears on Saturday, Dec. 20 as part of a doubleheader on FOX in Week 16 of the 2025 season. FOX announced the game on Monday, two days before the full schedule release on Wednesday.
The Packers and Bears will play at either 3:30 p.m. CT or 7:00 p.m. CT. The other game in the doubleheader is the Philadelphia Eagles going to Washington to play the Commanders.
The NFL is slowly announcing a mix of international or important games on the schedule ahead of Wednesday. The Packers’ trip to Chicago in Week 16 is the first confirmed game on the regular season schedule in 2025.
Matched with an NFC title game rematch between the Eagles and Commanders, FOX and the NFL clearly think Packers-Bears is heating back up as a rivalry. The Packers have been a consistent winner under Matt LaFleur, and the Bears are widely seen as an upstart franchise under quarterback Caleb Williams and first-year head coach Ben Johnson.
Last year, the Packers beat the Bears at Soldier Field on a blocked field goal as time expired in November. The Bears returned the favor in January, beating the Packers for the first time in 12 games on a game-winning field goal as time expired in the season finale.
