The Huskers (7-11, 1-5) wrapped up their weekend series with UCLA (16-4, 5-1) on Sunday afternoon down two games to none in the three-game stretch. Nebraska started strong with a 3-0 lead in Sunday’s contest, but the Bruins scored five unanswered runs and held the Huskers scoreless across the final six innings, securing a 5-3 win to get the sweep.
Nebraska took the lead in the second inning, scoring two runs off a Dylan Carey double. Tyler Stone logged in the Huskers’ final run in the third with a sacrificial fly. Carey finished 2-for-4 on the day, leading the team with two hits.

But UCLA shut down the Huskers, scoring-wise, including the final three innings where Nebraska only sent a total of 10 batters to the plate in that span.
The Bruins, meanwhile, had 10 hits in the game, nine of them in their three innings of work. UCLA homered twice, both solo, and earned three RBIs off two singles.
