If we can all agree on one thing, it’s that periods are the worst. No matter how much I try to prep or keep it together, thereâs just something about that time of the month that makes it feel like mercury is in retrograde 24/7. I’d never consider myself a wellness girly, but I do have debilitating cramps, hormonal acne, and start-a-fight-for-absolutely-no-reason mood swings. So, I’ve spent a frustrating decade trying to find ways to make my cycle a little more bearable for me and those around me. And let me tell you, I never thought I’d owe my life to Lo Bosworth, but Love Wellness has become my unsung hormonal hero.
After trying countless period products and cure-alls, Iâve landed on a few simple supplements that actually work, and now I donât face my cycle without them. So, hereâs a rundown of my go-to Love Wellness products that make my periodâand the days leading up to itâa whole lot easier to deal with.
1. Daily Love
When I first started using Daily Love, I didnât really expect a multivitamin to make much of a difference in how I felt at allâmuch less during my period. But it quickly became a must-have in my routine. Formulated specifically for women, Love Wellness’s popular multivitamin contains B6 and magnesium that help balance hormones and reduce PMS symptoms.
I noticed that after a few weeks of taking it, my mood swings were less intense, and my energy levels were more consistentâeven during the worst part of my cycle. Itâs an easy way to support your body every day, not just when your period hits. Plus, it helps with long-term hormone health, which is something Iâve started paying way more attention to as I get older. If you’re going to take one vitamin a day, let it be this one.
2. Cycle Soothe
My cramps have kept me out of work, stuck at home, or in the OB-GYN‘s office more times than I’d like to admit. Over the years, I’ve been ignored by about a dozen doctors who repeatedly suggest hot baths and stronger ibuprofen (revolutionary), so I’m willing to try anything to ease the pain. Enter: Cycle Soothe by Love Wellness, whichâpaired with my trusty heating padâhas become my secret weapon against period pain. This supplement contains anti-inflammatory ingredients like ginger and turmeric, and itâs specifically designed to target menstrual cramps.
For me, taking Cycle Soothe a few days before my period starts has made a noticeable difference. My cramps arenât completely gone, but theyâre definitely less intense, and Iâm able to get through the day without reaching for painkillers every few hours. If youâre someone who deals with debilitating cramps, this oneâs worth a try.
3. Good Girl Probiotics
Between hormone fluctuations, bloating, and just feeling generally off, your whole body can feel like itâs out of balance during your periodâespecially your vagina. Thatâs where Good Girl Probiotics come in. These Love Wellness probiotics are specifically designed to promote vaginal health by balancing your vaginal flora and supporting your immune system.
Depending on what symptoms I’m struggling with at the moment, I oscillate between taking these and the Big Brain Probiotics as part of my daily routine. Iâve noticed fewer bacterial ~issues~, less irritation, and just an overall improvement in how I feel down there. If you deal with yeast infections or have a hard time keeping your vaginal health in check, upgrade your daily probiotic and switch to this one.
4. Bye Bye Bloat
Bloating is, without a doubt, one of the most annoying period symptoms. Some months, I feel like even my baggiest Gen Z pants stop fitting overnight, and Iâm stuck feeling like a human balloon. Bye Bye Bloat has been a lifesaver in combating this. It contains a blend of digestive enzymes and natural ingredients like dandelion root and fennel that work together to reduce bloating and improve digestion. Which is amazing because period poops are no joke.
Like Cycle Soothe, I usually start taking Bye Bye Bloat a few days before my period to get ahead of the bloating. Itâs like hitting the âdeflateâ button on that uncomfortable puffiness. Bonus: iIt helps with food-related bloating, too, so itâs a staple in my medicine cabinet year-round.
5. Big Brain Probiotics
Youâve probably heard about gut health being linked to mental health, and let me tell you, itâs real. For me, brain fog and mood swings during my period wreak havoc on my work life, so I started using Big Brain Probiotics to give my mental clarity a little boost. This probiotic is packed with ingredients like ginseng and turmeric to help support cognitive function and mental clarity.
During my period, Iâm not feeling as sluggish or scattered as I usually do, and Iâve noticed my mood feels more balanced, even when PMS hits hard. Itâs been a game-changer, especially during that time of the month when all I want to do is curl up in bed and binge-watch Love Island.
