Peugeot’s Sherwood Forest training event marks launch of E-3008 push

Center Parcs’ Sherwood Forest venue was transformed into a fully branded car showroom and training camp for French car maker Peugeot.

Over four days this summer, Peugeot used the Nottinghamshire location to train more than 500 sales executives and managers on the all-new electric Peugeot E-3008.

The event kicked off with an opening plenary before delegates participated in seven different training workshops, including a dynamic test-driving exercise along the oak-lined roads of Sherwood Forest.

The training culminated in a team quiz to reinforce key learnings.

Throughout the conference, seven Peugeot E-3008 vehicles were displayed both inside The Venue and around the village, taking advantage of Center Parcs’ parking facilities and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

The event was designed and organised in partnership with events agency Strata, which sought a destination venue that reflected Peugeot’s eco-conscious values.

The Center Parcs events team worked closely with Peugeot to facilitate a full “takeover” of the venue. This included branded windows, totem screens, and customised signposting to align with Peugeot’s branding.

Adam Wood, Peugeot’s managing director, told AM earlier this year that the launch of Peugeot’s E-3008 electric fastback marks a significant milestone for the car maker as it prepares to field a 100% electric version of every model in its lineup by 2025 with five electric cars in the C segment alone.

Wood said that Peugeot’s aim is to solidify what is an already robust position as the second fastest-growing brand in Britain to shore up its ambitions to become the pre-eminent leader in European electric sales by next year.

“The E-3008 is an absolutely critical vehicle for our retailers,” he told Sherwood Forst training event, Peugeot has also embarked on a nationwide tour where it will visit every single retailer with a professional training session in the morning followed by an afternoon where dealerships will be able to invite prospects to test drive the car.
