All NFL teams have a 4:00 p.m. deadline on Tuesday to trim their rosters down to 53 players.
With Aaron Rodgers back in the fold the Jets obviously have high hopes heading into the 2024 season, but building a complete roster will be key.
Here’s a look at some of the latest reported roster cuts for Gang Green…
According to SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes, the Jets are keeping three undrafted free agents on their defensive line: UConn’s Eric Watts, Miami’s Leonard Taylor, and Michigan’s Braiden McGregor.
Among the Jets’ roster cuts was one of their 2024 NFL Draft picks, as seventh-rounder and defensive back Jaylen Key was reportedly waived.
“Mr. Irrelevant” from this year’s draft, Key played collegiately for both Alabama and UAB.
Before the deadline, New York also agreed to trade defensive back/kick returner Brandon Codrington (an undrafted rookie out of North Carolina Central) to the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple reports.
The teams will exchange late-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
More to come…
